Rhyl Football Club
We have been working with Rhyl Football Club (CPD Y Rhyl 1879) for over a decade, providing strategic footballing expertise and resources to support this exciting young club during a phase of rapid growth. The latest stage in the journey has been a contract to broker funding solutions for the purchase of the Belle Vue Stadium, a key North Wales asset.
Specialist Support During a Period of Growth
We first connected with the club in 2008, while we were helping the Welsh Government develop their approach to Learning Through Sport as part of Basic Skills Cymru. The club were running successful football in the community and learning programmes, with over 16,500 children being engaged in the year 2013-14 alone. As a result of this work, they had been selected as a national pilot for government funding.
However, as a new club experiencing rapid growth they needed specialist support. Adam Roche, the Managing Director and Club Secretary commented:

Latest Work: Funding Solutions for Belle Vue Stadium
The latest stage in this journey is our recent contract to broker funding solutions enabling the club to buy the Belle Vue Stadium under the terms of the current lease, with an option to purchase.
The intention is to protect what is considered an important, strategic football stadium in Rhyl. The ground is a key North Wales asset that is often used for UEFA club games and even junior internationals. We have been exploring a range of potential financial models and options on behalf of the club. If this work is successful, and a preferred plan is agreed, we will leave the club with a funding plan that provides a clear way forward.
