Feasibility Study for Plas Kynaston Community Sports Ground

Rural Development Agency, Cadwyn Clwyd, in partnership with Cefn Mawr Community Council, have appointed Just Solutions to undertake a new feasibility review. The study will identify, plan and cost options for the development of Plas Kynaston Community Sports Ground in Cefn Mawr, Wrexham. The study is funded by the LEADER Scheme.

The sports ground currently includes a full-size grass football pitch, a floodlit Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA), temporary changing room facilities and a car park. The aims of the study are to:

  • Identify the current needs of the community, including bringing Plas Kynaston Community Sports Ground up to the standards needed to meet the relevant Football Association of Wales ground criteria

  • Determine what changes can be successfully implemented to improve the facilities to benefit the community

  • Prioritise the potential improvements and outline the rationale and methodology for implementing them

  • Provide outline costs and plans for the proposed improvements that will inform future implementation and potential funding applications.
